Digital pre-orders for Lovecraftian survival horror game sequel
“Seeing pre-orders go live is quite a surreal milestone for us,” said Frogwares publishing director Sergiy Oganesyan in a press release. “It means the game is basically at the finish line, and that’s not something we were always sure would happen. The Sinking City 2 is the most ambitious game we’ve ever made, built under circumstances most studios never have to plan for by a team working remotely across Ukraine and beyond. Even now, with around two months till launch to go, we made the call to move the entire project over to Unreal Engine 5.8 because we believed the performance gains were worth the effort for our players.”
Oganesyan continued, “Our pricing follows the same philosophy. While most survival horror games today launch at $60 or more, we’re launching at $49.99 because we want to be fair and give as many people as possible the chance to step into Arkham with us. ”
In addition to the standard edition, which includes the base game and pre-order bonus “Chthonic Arsenal Pack,” the following premium editions are also available:
- Deluxe Edition ($54.99)
- Base game
- Chthonic Arsenal Pack
- The Arkham Field Kit
- Premium Edition ($59.99)
- Base game
- Chthonic Arsenal Pack
- The Arkham Field Kit
- Holloway Manor
- 24 hours of advanced access
Here is an overview of the aforementioned bonus content:
- Chthonic Arsenal Pack – Mythical weapons to give you options when the abyss fights back. Face Arkham in style. Wield the Chthonic Arsenal: the “Shale Mary” handgun, the “Breakwater” shotgun, and the “Tektite Tommy” SMG, each with its own look and features.
- The Arkham Field Kit – Face Arkham prepared. The Arkham Field Kit adds three outfits for the main character: “The Anatomist,” “The Witness,” and “Heretic Heraldry.” It also includes three Dream Essence to learn your first Talent early and a Resource Pack with a helpful mix of ammo, healing, and crafting items to aid your first steps in the city.
- The Holloway Manor – On the cliffs outside the city of Arkham, the Holloway Manor keeps its lights low. The house belongs to an old family whose history curdled into occult practice—the kind that Lovecraft would trace through buried lineages and rites that never quite ended. Rooms interlock like a puzzle box, dusty heirlooms open doors, and the house rewards your curiosity with paths you were not meant to find. See the job through, and the “Bucking Bronco” revolver you claim stays with you in the main game.
Frogwares also revealed the game’s minimum and recommended Epic Games Store, and GOG on August 18.
