Story

While investigating a suspicious death at a government office linked to a mysterious new disease, Grace Ashcroft was abruptly called into Director Dempsy’s office and reassigned to a wider case—one involving a string of unexplained infections and sudden deaths. The most recent incident had occurred at the Wrenwood Hotel, the very place where her mother was killed years earlier.

A midwestern city in the United States, Raccoon City once served as the headquarters of the global pharmaceutical giant, Umbrella Corporation. When a devastating viral outbreak turned its citizens into the walking dead in 1998, the government authorized a so-called “sterilization operation”—a missile strike intended to contain the infection.
