“Following the latest entry in the FANTASY LIFE series, we’re also working on a remake of Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold,” LEVEL-5 CEO Akihiro Hino said during today’s LEVEL-5 Vision 2026 Craftsmanship event. “We’ve made major updates to the gameplay, controls, and story, to the point where it almost feels like a brand-new game.”

With significantly enhanced graphics, the game is developed to deliver an immersive experience that feels like stepping into a beautifully crafted diorama.
A new game mode is also planned, allowing players to take control of Chup, the anime’s protagonist, and experience the story from his perspective.
With major refinements to gameplay and controls, along with a new story viewpoint, the game is being developed as a remake of such scale it could almost be considered an entirely new title.
It is planned for release on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Steam worldwide. Longtime fans and new players alike can to the series can look forward to this new adventure.
