P2D Map Editor Demo Now Available on Steam
P2D (Perspective 2D) is a new map style in RPG Maker U2U. P2D maps are created with height and depth using intuitive controls.
With this demo, users can try creating their own P2D maps, explore a variety of visual effects, and preview walking animations. Map data can be saved and will carry over to the full version of RPG Maker U2U, once it releases. Download the demo below and try it out today!
Please note:
- This demo includes features still in development. Specifications are subject to change.
- This demo does not include game creation features.
- The demo is scheduled to be available from Tuesday, October 20 through Monday, November 16, 2026.
Join the “Let’s Make Some P2D Maps!” Event!
To celebrate the release of the P2D Map Editor Demo, we’re inviting everyone to join our community map sharing event, “Let’s make some P2D maps!”
This is a celebration of your creativity, with no judging or rankings—just a chance to enjoy and share the maps you dream up!
Taking part is easy: simply post a screenshot of a P2D map you’ve created with the demo in the designated Steam Community Hub thread or on X using the event hashtag.

- Submission Period: Tuesday, October 19 to Monday, November 15, 2026
- How to Participate:

- Add RPG Maker U2U to your wishlist, then post your screenshot in the “Let’s Make Some P2D Maps!” thread.
- On Twitter (X)
- Follow the official RPG Maker U2U account on Twitter (X), then post your screenshot with the hashtag #P2Dmapevent.
- Please Note:
- Submitted maps must be created with the P2D Map Editor Demo.
- Submit as many times as you like during the event!
- Maps that catch our team’s eye may be featured with comments on our official website, social media accounts, Steam Community Hub, and other official channels.
- Only screenshots of the submitter’s own creations may be submitted.
- Please refrain from posting content that infringes on third-party rights or violates public order and morals.
- We may feature submitted work without contacting submission creators in advance.
