Shadow of the Road delayed to March 10, 2027

Publisher previously planned November 12, 2026 release date to March 10, 2027. It will be available for Epic Games Store, and GOG.

Here is the full explanation from Owlcat Games:

This extra time will let the developers address remaining issues and give the whole experience the polish it deserves.

The team will refine the tactical aspect of the encounters and fine-tune combat balance. It is of great importance that the positioning, initiative and ability choices all play their part in every battle and that every encounter rewards thoughtful planning and provides players with meaningful decisions to make. The developers are also hard at work on the progression systems in order to make developing the party more engaging: The goal is to give players more reasons to experiment with different skills and adapt their tactics to the challenges.

During this longer period of waiting, fans of Shadow of the Road can look forward to more trailers and insights into the game world soon.
